The Corona Virus known as Covid-19 has changed the way people of all ages live. Back in April of 2020, The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommended that everyone should wear non-medical grade face coverings and practice social distancing when out in public spaces. Scientists believe that doing these two things can slow the spread of this troublesome virus.
Life has changed greatly for everyone because of how little is known about Covid-19. Many people are unsure of how they can help flatten the curve or slow the spread of this virus. Simple things like staying home can save lives. Sadly, now people are encouraged to also avoid large gatherings, celebrations, concerts, and hanging out with non-family members who may have come into contact with Covid-19. This means lots of people are having to change how they live their lives. Kids now attend school via Zoom Meetings and some grown-ups have to work from home. There are many people who have lost their jobs and are at great risk of becoming homeless.
I believe that everyone should do their part to help bring life back to the way it was before. It would be nice to see my family and friends out in the world enjoying things like going to the movies or eating in restaurants. Even though our current president said, “wearing masks is voluntary”, I believe everyone should want to do it! I wear my mask out in public and keep my social distance of six feet because it is the right thing to do. All lives matter to me. Stay home and be safe.
